The German Federal Office for the Protection of Competition wants to establish if Facebook is in breach of the country’s regulations regarding merger deals.
The independent competition authority said it will examine whether plans by Facebook to acquire customer relationship management start-up company Kustomer falls within the scope of its supervision of merger deals, according to broadcaster CNBC.
Kustomer was founded in 2015. It is headquartered in New York. The company provides customer service platforms. And their “chat bots” are said to respond automatically to customer enquiries.
