PayPal has outlined plans to open a gateway for third-party wallet transfers. This will allow the platform’s users to move cryptocurrencies out of PayPal and into private wallets. Venmo users will also have access to this service.
PayPal’s head of cryptocurrency, Jose Fernandez de Ponte, disclosed this during the Coindesk Consensus Conference. He said the digital payment platform will soon roll out guidelines on how to transact using the major cryptocurrencies.
He said, “We want them to be able to take the crypto they have bought with us and take it to the destination of their choice.”
