Hungry Planet, a leading provider of meat-free foods, has raised $25 million in the latest round of funding. The start-up offers a range of tasty vegan products. Its chef-crafted burgers, Italian sausages, and crab cakes are made entirely from plants. According to CEO and co-founder, Todd Boyman, the company’s inspiration is its mission.
Boyman argues that the key to living sustainably, regenerating the planet, and healing our bodies is eating well, and producing and consuming products that align with these goals. Animals, he said, are highly inefficient in producing meat, impacting not just human health, but the health of our planet as well.
