Philadelphia-based FORT Robotics has raised $13 million in an early-stage funding round led by Prime Movers Lab. The startup is the first of its kind, creating safety and security solutions for autonomous machines.
The company’s technology is utilized in a variety of fields including warehousing, construction, agriculture, and manufacturing. In addition, FORT provides security platform built specifically for smart machines to guard against safety risks associated with heavy machinery.
The startup believes that productivity in these industries should never come at the cost of safety. It recognises “that safe collaboration between humans and robots is synonymous with the workforce of tomorrow.”
