Sharp Electronics Corporation has recently acquired 66% of the shares of NEC Display Solutions. With this, NEC will now be functioning as a subsidiary of its new parent corporation. NEC will be changing its name from “NDS” to “SNDS” (Sharp NEC Display Solutions) and will be continuing largely in the same vein that it was operating before.
Sharp has acquired 66% of the shares of NEC. With this, they will start a joint venture where they aim to push sales internationally. Likewise, NEC plans to use this new joint venture to further its own business goals.
