Today, the Carlyle Group announced its acquisition of a 25% stake in Nxtra Data Limited (Nxtra). Bharti Airtel Limited owns the subsidiary, Nxtra. The post-money valuation of Nxtra is approximately US $1.2 billion.
The investment is in partnership with Comfort Investments II, an affiliated entity of CAP V Mauritius Limited. Affiliates of the Carlyle manage and advise the investment fund CAP V Mauritius Limited. Carlyle announced that Comfort Investments II will invest US $235 million.
Airtel continues to hold the remaining stake of approximately 75%.
