Security analytics startup Uptycs has received $30 million in Series B funding in a round led by Sapphire Ventures. Existing investors Comcast Ventures and ForgePoint Capital also participated in the round.
As part of the funding deal Jai Das, Sapphire Ventures managing director and president, will join the board of directors at Uptycs. Sapphire Ventures plans to support the Boston-based startup in helping other companies implement its unique approach to security analytics.
Uptycs reinvents security analytics by using SQL, a computer programming language, and osquery, an open-source operating system developed by Facebook. It provides a platform for companies to conduct different security protocols, such as intrusion detection, vulnerability management and compliance checks.
