Intuit announces a deal to acquire the personal finance start up out of Silicon Valley, Credit Karma in a $7.1 billion transaction.
Credit Karma is a personal finance company headquartered in San Francisco founded in 2007. The company offers all of its services to consumers for free. Users are able to see updates on their credit score and credit reports on the website weekly. To offset its free services Credit Karma’s revenue comes from targeted advertisements for financial products.
